I have started to work on a dark but eye friendly theme. I use my computer 7/24 and my eyes are not ‘trained’ enough to take the big difference of contrasts on the screen.
Therefore I aim to harmonize the use (to be able to use my computer for many hours without making my eyes tired) and the look (to have something tasteful on the desktop that I look at for many hours).
The theme will be updated often, after any progress I made.
The theme is based on the great Aurora engine and its installation is required.
Suggested gnome-panel size: 24 pix.
I have included the config file for compiz setup. Import into your compiz configuration and you will have the same opacity effect on menus like in the preview. You will find the config file in: /home/[USER]/.themes/LUX folder.

Hey thanks for the great theme! I’ve just installed it on my Ubuntu PC and must say so far I’m very pleased with the looks and also with the fact that black text on black backgrounds occur only rarely (unlike the UbuntuStudio theme which makes OpenOffice almost unusable)
